Wilsons Auctions is the largest independently owned auction house in the UK & Ireland. We currently have a requirement in our Glasgow Branch (Postcode KA24 4LG) for a Full-Time Yard Operative.


The successful candidate will be based at the above site and duties will include the following:


  • General Yard Duties
  • Site Hygiene
  • Errands including offsite locations
  • Manual Handling
  • Assisting on car, fleet and commercial auction days
  • Dealing with the public to answer general enquiries
  • General administration
  • Photography of assets
  • Processing assets for auction
  • Disposal hall maintenance and upkeep


The ideal applicant should meet the following essential criteria:


  • Have held a clean UK Driving Licence for 3 years or more
  • Be capable of multitasking and working under pressure in a fast-paced environment
  • Previous experience driving in a work-related role
  • Well organised with an eye for detail
  • Good level of IT literacy
  • Hands on approach to work
  • Be able to work as part of a team
  • Be able to work within deadlines
  • Flexible attitude to working hours
  • Experience working in a warehousing background


Desirable Criteria:


  • Forklift licence


Hours of work: Monday to Friday 8.30am - 5.00pm (with 30 mins unpaid lunch)
