Are you detail-oriented and dedicated to creating a clean, safe, and comfortable environment? We're looking for a reliable Housekeeping Assistant to help maintain high standards of cleanliness and hygiene within our care home. Your efforts will ensure that residents enjoy a pleasant and well-maintained living space.

Our modern, traditionally built care home situated in the rural town of Radstock, will provide luxury accommodation for 50-residents. We will specialise in Residential, Nursing, Dementia and Respite care.

Housekeeping Assistant Contract

  • £11.50 per hour
  • Contracted to 32 hours per week 
  • 5.6 weeks annual leave (Based on a full-time contract)
  • Pension.
  • Uniform provided.
  • DBS paid.
  • Onsite parking.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Waste Management: Empty waste bins and wash out metal wastepaper bins regularly.
  • Cleaning Tasks: Vacuum throughout the care home, spot clean floorings, and clean dining rooms, lounges, and toilets.
  • Surface Cleaning: Shake out cushions, clean taps, sinks, and soap dispenser outlets, and polish mirrors.
  • Bathroom Care: Wash all bathroom, toilet, and en-suite floors, clean toothbrush holders, and all pipework in toilets.
  • Furniture Care: Dust and polish furniture, windowsills, and handrails. Move mobile furniture to vacuum and dust beneath/behind.
  • Floor Maintenance: Wash lino floors, shampoo carpets as requested by the Home Manager, and ensure all floor surfaces are clean.
  • Additional Tasks: Dust light bulbs, curtains, pictures, and fittings. Restock toiletries, soaps, and towels as needed.
