The Role:

As a Design and Technology Teacher, you will be responsible for:

  • Delivering engaging and innovative lessons in Design and Technology, with a particular emphasis on engineering principles.
  • Inspiring and motivating students to explore the world of engineering through practical and theoretical learning.
  • Planning and delivering a comprehensive curriculum that meets national standards and encourages creativity and problem-solving skills.
  • Assessing and evaluating student progress, providing constructive feedback and support.
  • Collaborating with colleagues to develop and implement department initiatives and extracurricular activities.
  • Maintaining a safe and stimulating learning environment, equipped with the latest tools and technology.
Requirements:
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with a specialization in Design and Technology or Engineering.
  • A strong background in engineering, with the ability to translate complex concepts into accessible and engaging lessons.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a passion for teaching and inspiring young learners.
  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
  • Enthusiasm for contributing to the wider school community through clubs, trips, and events.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
