Warehouse Operatives that have the ability to function well as part of a team. You must have very effective organisational and communication skills and a flexible approach to work. Minimum of 1 years’ experience of working within a Warehouse environment. Fork Lift Truck Certificate, Counterbalance, Pivot, Flexi/Bendi trucks is an advantage. The ability to multi‐task and work in a fast paced environment. Excellent verbal communication skills and the ability to communicate effectively with Customers and Co‐Workers. Ensuring a high standard of hygiene at all times, clean as you go work ethic (damages, spillages and general hygiene are maintained at all times)

Requirements:

Minimum of 1 years’ experience of working within a Warehouse environmentFork Lift Truck Certificate, Counterbalance, Pivot, Flexi/Bendi trucks – Desirable: (MEWP) Scissor Lift CertificateMust be able to work as assigned in either office or warehouse environmentsProfessional in appearanceDiligent attention to detail and attention to safety of themselves and others around the workplaceAbility to multi‐task and work in a fast paced environmentExcellent verbal communication skills and the ability to communicate effectively with Customers and Co‐WorkersHighly organised, self-sufficient and able to work on own initiative and to tight deadlinesFlexible in approach to work and adaptable to fit into different teams and environmentsConfident and approachableChemical and Manual Handling Trained Desirable but not essential as training will be givenMust hold a full UK driving licence and have own transportation to work

Key Accountabilities:

Customer Service

Ensure effective and efficient running of the warehouse function and customer satisfaction by: 

Taking delivery of goods and suppliesStoring of goodsPicking of goodsPreparation of stockLoading of stock by hand, pump truck or forkliftKeep accurate records of stocksAssisting with stock taking as and when requiredKeeping warehouse and work area clean and tidy through use of chemicals and non hazardous equipmentUse of the correct methods for manual handlingUse of automatic wrapper to correct procedureCompletion of relevant paperworkCorrect completion of the picking and unloading paperwork and IT based systemsEnsuring cleanliness of stock and warehouse (this includes cleaning spillages and damages as they happen or on discovery)

Communication

Contact internal customers to resolve any queries or problem that may arise with paperworkResponding to and dealing with customer communication by email and telephone

Teamwork

Encouraging teamwork within the workplace by displaying the correct behaviours towards all members of the Knowles Transport Ltd teamsMaintaining standards of health and safety, hygiene and security in the work environment, for example, ensuring that stock such as chemicals and food are stored safely and securely and reporting of any concerns or near misses to the Site Manager
