We provide free specialist palliative care and support to patients with life limiting illness whilst offering vital emotional support for their families.

Main duties of the job

With experience ofEnd of Life care,you're ready and able to make a real difference. Ours is a one-to-one approach to care, soyou're sure to enjoy plenty of meaningful contact with patients and their families - usually in their own homes. Working without close supervision,you'll have the opportunity to use your own initiative in line with the patient's established care 'll be required to carry out a range of care duties including helping patients meet their hygiene needs,monitoring symptoms,assisting withmedications and keeping detailed records and emotional support to the patient and their families.

With experience of End of Life care, you're ready and able to make a real difference. Ours is a one-to-one approach to care, soy ou're sure to enjoy plenty of meaningful contact with patients and their families - usually in their own homes. What we are looking for :

Qualifications

Essential

National Vocational Qualification (NVQ) Level 2 in Health and Social Care OR an equivalent alternative Level 2 Qualification NCFE level 2 Certificate in Healthcare Support Services, BTEC level 2 Health and Social Care. Functional skills at level 2 in numeracy and literacy or equivalent

Desirable

National Vocational Qualification (NVQ) Level 3 in Health and Social Care OR an acceptable, alternative Level 3 Qualification Basic Food Hygiene Certificate

Experience

Essential

6 Months care delivery experience (current) in a Health or Social Care Environment.

Desirable

Recent professional experience of providing care and caring for dying patients.
