About the Role:

  • Position: Teacher of English
  • Contract: Permanent, starting in September

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver engaging and effective lessons in English, covering a range of topics from literature to language analysis.
  • Create a stimulating learning environment that encourages student participation and achievement.
  • Monitor and assess student progress, providing constructive feedback to support their development.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to develop and implement effective teaching strategies and resources.
  • Contribute to the wider school community through extracurricular activities and school events.

Candidate Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
  • A degree in English, English Literature, or a related field.
  • Experience teaching English at the secondary school level.
  • Strong classroom management skills and the ability to inspire and motivate students.
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills.
  • A commitment to ongoing professional development and a passion for teaching.
