Job Title: Art Teacher

Location: East of England, Suffolk, Ipswich

Job Type: Permanent, expected to work Full-Time hours

Salary: £130 - £180 Per day

Job Duties:
  • Plan and deliver engaging art lessons to students
  • Develop and implement art curriculum in line with national standards
  • Assess and provide feedback on students' artwork
  • Organise and supervise art projects and exhibitions
  • Provide support and guidance to students to help them improve their artistic skills
Required Qualifications:
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Bachelor's degree in Art or related field
  • Proven experience in teaching art to students
Education:
  • Bachelor's degree in Art or related field
  • Postgraduate Certificate in Education (PGCE) is desirable
Experience:
  • Minimum of 2 years' experience teaching art
  • Experience working with students of varying abilities
Knowledge and Skills:
  • Strong knowledge of art history and various art techniques
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to inspire and motivate students
  • Organisational and time management skills
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Postgraduate Certificate in Education (PGCE)
  • Experience in organising art exhibitions
Working Conditions:
  • Work in a classroom setting within a school environment
  • Full-time hours with occasional evening and weekend work required for events
  • May involve standing for long periods and some lifting of art supplies

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
