What we’re looking for: 

We’re on the lookout for a highly ambitious Live Music Booker to play a pivotal role in the delivery of diverse and exceptional programming across the company’s venue portfolio. 

You will be tasked with leveraging your relationships with promoters, agents, artists, labels, and industry contacts to build a roster of live music bookings beyond electronic music. You will be strategically led by the Music Director with assistance from existing music team personnel, plus liaison with the advancing teams regarding all aspects of artist and event partner relations. The ideal person for this role will have a proven track record of achievement in talent booking across the music industry with a broad understanding and appreciation of a wide range of live music genres. 

You will have a natural passion for relationship-building, with full event P&L construction experience and organisational skills, supporting a real ability to get things done and a strong desire to continue learning. You will be building a significant extension to the music team, with huge potential for growth within our ever-growing organisation.

What you’ll be responsible for:

Talent Booking

Independently building a new roster of live music bookings, from a wide array of genres, to maximise opportunity across our venue portfolio. Leveraging your relationships with promoters, agents, artists, labels, and industry contacts to negotiate impactful deals. Identifying and nurturing emerging artists to drive forward long-term artist development plans of building a pipeline of talent across our spaces. Building and maintaining strong relationships with promoters, agents, artists, labels, and other stakeholders, ensuring Broadwick Live’s reputation is being constantly improved. Working closely with the music team, as well as national and local promoters. Implementing systems to ensure the timely contracting, invoicing and the creation of internal processes for an efficient, professional service. Overseeing the drafting, negotiating and amending of contracts and managing the signature process. Signing off invoices for payment submission.
 Flagging potential problems and/or risks with contracts and escalating to the legal team where necessary. Creating event/concert budgets accurately, communicating changes clearly to finance. Overseeing Artist Liaison teams to ensure all booking logistics and administration are in order, including contracting, and accommodation and travel bookings, and that artist and guest experience is a positive one. Closely working with our venue operations teams to ensure excellent event/concert delivery. Being on-site during shows to act as the primary point of contact for promoters. Recognising opportunities to maximise venue relationships within the industry, sponsorship opportunities. Contributing to the business with new ideas and taking the initiative.

Other

Carrying out ad hoc duties when required such as business insurance policies, immigration and data protection.

You’ll need to have:

3+ years of proven experience in a talent booking role across a wide range of different genres. A wide and varied set of relationships with promoters, agents, artists, labels and collectives. An in-depth understanding of live music events. Excellent communication skills with a natural passion for relationship-building and collaborating with team members across multiple venues. Great negotiation skills and be a strong individual contributor. Strong attention to detail with a real ability to get things done. Fast learner with a strong work ethic. A flexible nature, easily able to adapt and pivot at a moment's notice is key. Working well under pressure is a must. Comfortable with what can be a high-pressure environment. Exceptional attention to detail, and a focus on getting the small things right. Confident with Excel/One Drive/Microsoft Suite/Keynote and data. A ‘team player’ attitude, whilst also being confident and able to work independently.
