Wood is recruiting for a Planner tojoin its operations digital Consulting team for a period of 12 Months. This role is a site based position near Hull.

The Role  

This role will be responsible for sub surface planning and scheduling for all sub surface works to facilitate the efficient operations of SSE’s gas storage sites.

Typical responsibilities

manage/deliver long term planning for sub surface projects which would drive work programmes to ensure that routine, planned and breakdown work is undertaken efficiently and in a timely manner, so that the plant and equipment is available and in good working order to meet operational requirements and budgetary constraints. Directs and controls contractor’s activities so that work is undertaken to the company’s requirements and safety instructions. Liaise with site outage planners to ensure SIMOPS and efficiencies are identified and managed accordingly. Ensures that the required records are kept satisfying the requirements of legislation related to sub surface schedules etc. Take charge of planning meetings coordinating resource planning against the availability of plant etc Provide MS Project planning support for in-house projects updating such as necessary. Provide a point of contact and coordination of contractors who attend site to carry out work as required, including but not exhaustive to organizing inductions, planning and coordinating work with others safety / quality and performance monitoring, signing time sheets, etc.

Expected:

Industry legislation Health & Safety Legislation P6 planning tool Engineering & other plant design standards Experience in a similar role Computer Literate including MS Office, Planning, CMMS. EG Maximo & P6 Good written and oral communication skills, including the capability of representing the Company with all outside organisations visiting the installation. Planning qualification 

Desirable:  

Gas or similar industry cross-functional experience Qualified to a minimum of HNC in Engineering (or equivalent) Excellent verbal and written communication skills
