Requirements

We have an exciting opportunity to join our "Van on the Go" project, working in the local community (Barnsley area) to take surplus produce to our members.

We are looking for hard working individuals that are enthusiastic and enjoy a challenge. Someone who enjoys meeting people and puts our members at the heart of everything we do, ensuring that each and every one of our members gets the shopping experience they deserve.

In this role, you will work as part of a team on the road in the Barnsley area, also in the Athersley store, within a busy, retail environment. Previous retail experience may be useful, however full training will be provided.

Whilst out on the road, you will undertake the following tasks:

  • Travelling in the van to the mobile pop up site (within Barnsley area)
  • Setting up/taking down gazebo
  • Setting up market stall tables/trays
  • Assisting customers with their purchases

Location: Community Shop Athersley, Lindhurst Road, Athersley North, Barnsley, S71 3DQ

Hours: 16 hour contract per week 4 hours shifts over 4 days between the hours of 7.30am and 6pm, Monday to Friday and 7.30am to 4pm on a Saturday

Please note: the successful candidate will be required to be flexible with their working hours.

Rate of pay: £11.50 per hour paid every 4 weeks

The position is a fixed term contract for 6 months.
