NHS Professionalshave exciting opportunities for a Pharmacy Technician with experience tosupport our client trusts. You will maintain key relationships with co-workersand other health care professionals across the Trust to ensure an effectiveservice.

Main duties of the job

Counselling patients that attend Pharmacy on how to take their medicines in a safe and effective manner and warning them of possible side effects that they may experience during treatment.

To use the Pharmacy stock control computer system and other information technology in all areas of Pharmacy. To be fully competent in the use of the Robotic Dispensing system, where applicable to site, with the ability to diagnose and resolve robot operating issues and escalate as required.

To provide practical support and advice to the allocated team members in relation to managing monthly Dispensary Controlled Drug stock checks, auditing and correction of levels, ensuring the correct process is followed, and a clear audit trail is maintained.

To support Quality Improvement projects, dispensary audits including planning, communication inputting and analysing data and producing reports.

Receive prescriptions from patients/ staff and receive payment for prescription charges.

Experience

Essential

Experience in using Cerner Millenium Electronic Prescribing System. Candidates with Community Pharmacy experience only may also be considered.

Qualifications

Essential

Hold a GPhC Registration. ACT Checking skills/experience are Highly Desirable.
