As a Head Housekeeper at Alex Wood House Care Home, you will be responsible for ensuring a high quality of cleanliness within the home.

We’re based in a quiet nook in Arbury on the north eastern side of Cambridge, three miles from the city centre. Our home offers 24-hour residential care and 36 en-suite bedrooms.

About the role:
 Leading our Housekeeping team, the Head Housekeeper is responsible for ensuring the highest service standards of cleaning to provide a clean, safe and welcoming environment for our residents and visitors.

Salary:
 £12.31 per hour.

Shift Pattern:
 35.5 hours per week, worked across 5 days per week between Monday to Sunday. Shift times will be either 8am to 1:30pm, 8am to 3:30pm, or 1pm to 8:30pm.

Home Location:
 Fortescue Road, Cambridge, England, CB4 2JS – 3 miles from the city centre.

Key Duties & Responsibilities:

Manage overall responsibility for support services within the home for laundry and domestic housekeeping. Support the management team in the recruitment, induction and training of the support service team; ensuring training targets are met and team is competent in their roles. Manage rotas, budgets, stocks and reporting duties for the Housekeeping department within the home. Support, lead, manage and inspire direct reports to deliver outstanding service for the home.

Training, Skills & Experience Required:

Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a similar position, with proven experience successfully managing a team, budgets and targets. A passion for care – we’re looking for a genuinely caring individual who will put the needs of our residents first. Excellent communication and customer service skills, as well as high attention to detail.
