Role Description

Cook Volunteer

Location: Surbiton (Kingston)

Time Commitment:  Minimum of 2 hours per week

We are looking for fun and patient volunteers to help prepare meals for the people we support at our supported living service in Surbiton. You'll be helping them to gain the cooking skills they'll need to be able to live more independently. If you have a passion for food and enjoy helping others, this is the role for you The hours you would be volunteering are lunchtime or dinnertime, so please keep this in mind when applying. We are happy to accommodate term time only applicants Skills required To be passionate about food and confident using culinary equipment A food hygiene qualification would be beneficial, but can provide training if required To be able to communicate well, be friendly and kind To be punctual and reliable To be able to deal with information in line with our data protection and confidentiality procedures

To ensure the safety of the people we support, we will require a DBS check and two satisfactory references before a volunteer role is confirmed. As you will be volunteering directly with vulnerable individuals, you will also be required to undertake safeguarding training, as well as any training which is specific to the role.
