A DAY IN THE LIFE OF THE MEETINGS, EVENTS & RESERVATIONS COORDINATOR AT THE IMPERIAL HOTEL BLACKPOOL

What you'll be doing...

Reporting to the Reservations Manager, you can expect your working day to include the following:

  • Communicating with guests by telephone and email
  • Organising and maintaining client details relating to hotel events
  • Diary planning
  • Updating the hotel operational team on final event details
  • Creating and printing event menus, table plans and other ad hoc signage
  • Demonstrating sound knowledge of hotel products and services, pricing and policies
  • Collating data relating to hotel events, including forecasted revenue and other ad hoc reports
  • Managing hotel reservations, prior to guest check-in, ensuring all booking information is accurate.
  • Conducting future hotel reservations booking checks (7 day, 3 day & 1 day checks)

To succeed in the role of Meetings, Events & Reservations Coordinator, you will need the following qualities and skills:

  • A ‘can-do’ approach to guest interaction and service, to ensure our guest’s needs are catered for.
  • The ability to multi-task and prioritise workload, which on occasion may well be under pressure
  • Good written and verbal communication skills, with a working knowledge of Microsoft Office packages, (although not essential, previous experience of Event Temple would be a distinct advantage).
