What you'll be doing:

UK Communications Lead
Summary of role
The UK Comms Lead will play a pivotal role in driving effective communication, both with external partners within the organization. The role focuses on Rep & field communications, employee engagement, event leadership and corporate PR/crisis management. Responsibilities include crafting and disseminating communications to field teams, developing engaging strategies & content for internal channels and causes, and managing all aspects of field & company events. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, strong project management abilities, and show real a passion for fostering engagement.

Key responsibilities:

Segmented Rep & Feld Communications

•Manage associates responsible for delivering the day-to-day communications rhythm for our field audiences; Reps, Sales Leaders and employed Business Development Managers. Set the strategy and get involved in planning & execution of engaging, on brand and behaviour-changing comms•Ensure field communication channels are optimised; identify optimum channel strategies and develop new communications channels as needed•Craft the narrative for ‘Avon life’; what it means to be a Rep and Sales Leader to drive pride and community engagement•Cultivate great Rep and Sales Leader PR stories to drive earned media opportunities

World Class Rep & Field Events Management

•Lead the planning of all UK Rep & Field events, including the annual conference and international trips, as well as smaller local recognition events•Work with third party agencies to deliver optimum value for the business and coordinate all aspects of event logistics including venue selection, catering, transportation, accommodations etc.•Partner closely with Head of Field, General Manager & Head of Marketing to ensure that events content and execution delivers on business and brand objectives

EmployeeCommunications & Value proposition

•Develop and implement internal communication strategies to foster a positive and engaging work culture, aligning with organizational values and objectives; utilise all channels including events, email and new & different tactics to drive engagement•Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including HR, marketing, and leadership, to ensure consistent messaging and alignment with company goals, as well as solicit feedback to continuously improve internal communication efforts

Charity Partnerships

•Lead the UK Charity partner strategy & serve as the main point of contact for charity partners; managing communication, coordination, and effectiveness reporting to ensure successful partnerships•Collaborate with internal stakeholders to promote charity partnerships and engage employees in meaningful ways, such as through awareness campaigns, employee giving programs, and volunteer opportunities

Elevate Avon UK’s external storytelling across all pillars to drive relevance and consideration

Develop and implement the external communications and PR strategy across Corporate, Beauty, Rep, Purpose storytelling Partner with marketing and field teams to build 360 activation plan to maximise reach and engagement across all channels and audiences Align with central communications teams on campaigns and materials and execute campaigns and activations in an excellent and consistent way

UK Leadership Team

Provide communications advice and counsel to the UK Leadership team and other key business stakeholders, including crisis management

Work Experience

Significant experience (5+ years) working for a large commercial organization - effective at working cross-functionally and establishing contacts within the company

Proof of excellent communications delivery and planning - evidence of creativity in developing and delivering great communications plans, great writing skills and brilliant attention to detail

Capability to work and influence at a senior level in the organization

Experience of people leadership to be able to lead virtual teams, and in-team project workstreams
