Job Description

The Live-in Care Professional will live in a client’s home and provide a variety of non-medical services, such as giving medication, preparing meals, helping them to wake up and go to bed, taking them out to run errands or go to appointments. This can include personal care and light housework, which really enhances the quality of the clients’ lives.

Companionship Services :

Offer companionship and conversation. Stimulate and encourage through a variety of activities (for example clothing selection, hobbies, and crafts) Accompany to appointments and social events (for example visiting friends or family, lunch, club meetings)

Home Help Services :

Performing light housekeeping tasks (dusting, vacuuming, making beds, changing linens, cleaning bathrooms, kitchens, washing and ironing, taking out rubbish, caring for houseplants etc.) Organise and tidy cupboards , check food expiry dates and shopping . Knowledge about good food safety and ability to cook variety of meals from raw ingredients. Assist with pet care.

Personal Care :

Help with bathing, dressing, and grooming. Help with continence care. Consider and understand the point of view of the person with Dementia/Alzheimer Assist with Morning and Evening routine.

Essential Criteria :

Ability to listen, communicate clearly and build relationships with clients and their families in a friendly and pleasant manner. Respect for people with different backgrounds and beliefs to your own and who may have a range of medical conditions. Commitment to non-discriminatory care practice Excellent timekeeper who is organised and reliable. Good hygiene practice, including personal hygiene and a smart appearance. This role will require you to obtain an Enhanced Disclosure from the relevant body. Class 1 business insurance (if using own car for business purposes) or reliable transport.

Additional Information

We are looking for a Care professional who speaks Marathi, to assist a client who is now unable to communicate in English.

As a Live-in Care Professional, you will receive industry leading training, great rates of pay and excellent support.

As a Live In Care Care Professional, you will be provided with 3 meals a day or an allowance from the client, a separate room to stay and access to a TV and WiFi. In addition, we offer comprehensive training and support.
