Main duties of the job

In thisrole you will be required to:

Evaluatepatients to identify speech, language, voice, fluency and swallowing disorders

Developtreatment plans based on assessment results and patient needs in order toimprove speech, language the communication skills

Implementtechniques to enhance articulation, fluency, voice quality and languagecomprehension and expression

Workwith patients experiencing dysphagia to improve their ability to safely swallowfood and liquids

Job description

Job responsibilities

In thisrole you will be required to:

Evaluatepatients to identify speech, language, voice, fluency and swallowing disorders

Workwith patients experiencing dysphagia to improve their ability to safely swallowfood and liquids

Person Specification

Qualifications

Essential

Recognised Speech and Language Therapy Degree Qualification or equivalent Licence to Practice Registered with HCPC Dysphagia post graduate training and at least 2 years post grad experience of working with dysphagia The successful candidate will need to be competent and confidant in preparing and using electronic information. The post holder needs to have up to date IT skills and knowledge of Microsoft outlook and word. A knowledge and /or experience of using RIO patient held record system would be of benefit. Car for community work
