Join Our Team as a Sous Chef

The Prince Of Burford is a newly refurbished pub and hotel converted from an 18th-century coaching inn, located in beautiful Burford on the north-eastern edge of the Cotswolds. We have 16 stunning en-suite rooms with dog-friendly and family-friendly options available, offering the ideal base for exploring the Cotswolds AONB, the Oxfordshire countryside and historic Oxford. On the menu, our focus is locally sourced seasonal dishes and exciting takes on pub classics, with a cracking selection of award-winning Butcombe beer, cocktails and wines behind the bar.

What you'll be doing:

  • Supporting the Head Chef in producing high-quality food in line with company food brief.
  • Assuming full responsibility for kitchen operations during the absence of the Head Chef, managing duties such as rota management, food safety protocols, and cleaning schedules.
  • Ensuring the food service meets and enhances customer expectations, embodying our company values: Set the Bar High, From the Heart, Raise the Spirits, and Make us the Talk of the Town.
  • Assisting in maintaining gross profit margins through menu planning, stock control, portion management, and menu pricing.
  • Ensuring compliance with health & safety, food safety, and fire safety regulations within the kitchen.
  • Assisting in ongoing training and development of kitchen team members.
