Exciting Opportunity: Finance Reporting, Technical Business Analyst at Schroders

Your New Team
You'll be part of our Global Finance Reporting team, working closely with other areas of the wider finance community. Our focus is to upgrade most of Finance’s reporting processes, reducing risk associated with process failures and inefficiencies. This role will take the lead in maintaining a growing suite of reports and dashboards within a controlled and secure deployment environment.
Who We're Looking For
We need a Technical Business Analyst who can support the delivery of high standard, professional quality reports. You'll run the monthly reporting cycle and take the lead in enhancing the production and control process. The team needs analytical support to turn reporting requirements into viable development specifications. Knowledge of Power BI, Oracle Fusion, Anaplan, Snowflake, and Azure is helpful.
Your Role
Capture and write up business reporting requirements and turn these into clearly presented requirement specifications. Build out proof of concept (PoC) reporting examples based on the requirements to demonstrate functionality and cement understanding. Develop and maintain power BI based data models and reporting. Build, test and deploy professional standard, low risk, high impact reports using report standards and best practices. Conduct unit testing on new reports and work with the business through user acceptance testing. Document findings, maintain a defect and enhancement log and support the business on general “how-to” queries. Support trouble shooting and error correction of reporting to maintain operational readiness.
Skills & Experience Required
Excellent Data analysis skills and experience working with Management Information (MI). Experience of reporting requirements gathering and reporting mock-up definition across multiple reporting domains. Experience using/developing Reporting Tools, such as Microsoft PowerBI. Experience of supporting testing, including designing UAT test scripts. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Proven problem-solving skills, comfortable taking the initiative in challenging and ambiguous circumstances. Strong strategic thinking and analytical skills, combined with ability to derive and implement required tactical measures. Capable of remaining positive when under pressure.
