Maintenance Electrician

Job Introduction

As Maintenance ­­­­Electrician at Sodexo, you will be the go-to person, the one with the answers to everyone's questions, and the one who knows how to keep the facilities operating smoothly. You will be the specialist who will provide technical advice and support for the maintenance of equipment, building fabric, and utility services across the Wythenshawe Hospital  estate. What you’ll do:  

• Ensure the safe operation and maintenance of all plant and equipment within the hospital estate, carrying out a range of repairs and new works to a high standard.  You will be responsible for the service, installation, maintenance, and testing of complex electrical systems.
• Comply with all Company and Client policies and procedures, and statutory regulations, including health and safety, safe working practices, hygiene, cleanliness, fire, COSHH. This will include your awareness of any specific hazards in your workplace
• Actively champion a safe and healthy environment for patients, visitors, and staff
• Day to day responsibility for responding to issued PDA based work orders and for correctly filling in, attaching supporting evidence through to completion.

• May be required to use access equipment for working at heights.

What you bring:  

• Fully qualified electrician, ideally holding a City & Guilds/NVQ or equivalent qualification and post-apprentice experience in a similar field.

• City & Guilds 17 th Edition IET Regs.

• Excellent written, verbal and communication skills 

Preferable experience/qualifications:

• City & Guilds 2391 Electrical Testing & Inspection.

• City & Guilds 18 th Edition IET Regs.

• Experience of working in a healthcare environment.

• Experience of working with backup power systems Generators and uninterrupted power supply systems.

• Ability to use Microsoft applications and PDA

Package Description

• Hours:  40 per week
• Shift pattern:  Monday to Friday 07:30 - 16:00 or 08:00 - 16:30
• Rate of pay:  £ per hour
• Frequent transport links close by.
