Bookmark Education are seeking passionate, nurturing, and energetic qualified Practitioners to work at one of our excellent partner Nurseries in Mickleover, Derby (DE3). 

As a Nursery Practitioner, you will be responsible for creating a safe, welcoming, and inclusive environment for all children. You will use your knowledge and understanding of how children learn to provide rich, fun and imaginative experiences that seek to inspire, engage and motivate. Importantly, you will be aware of child safeguarding procedures and ensure that these are always adhered to. 

DUTIES

  • Provide basic care such as feeding, changing, and assisting with toilet training.
  • Ensure a safe and clean environment for children.
  • Plan and implement educational and developmental activities.
  • Observe and assess children's progress and maintain records.
  • Communicate regularly with parents about their child's progress.
  • Collaborate with other nursery staff and professionals.
  • Maintain compliance with regulations and standards.
  • Engage in ongoing professional development and training.
  • Foster an inclusive environment that respects diversity.
  • Support children with special educational needs or disabilities.

REQUIREMENTS

  •  Required: CACHE Level 3, NNEB, NVQ Level 3 or higher qualification in childcare.
  • Essential Expertise: In-depth knowledge of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) and hands-on experience with children and families.
  • Safeguarding Expertise: Comprehensive understanding of safeguarding principles and practices.
  • Leadership Abilities: Strong skills in managing and leading people effectively.
  •  Time Management: Proven ability to manage time efficiently and meet deadlines.
  • Organizational Skills: Exceptional organizational abilities, with a knack for keeping tasks and projects in order.
  •  Compliance: This position requires a clear enhanced DBS check
