We have an exciting opportunity available for a Water Technician (Environmental) to join our team in Glasgow. You will join us on a full time, Permanent basis. Dalkia UK ( EDF Group) is a technical engineering solutions provider for the built environment. We engineer, manage and optimise smart spaces and places leveraging emerging technologies for our customers that improve where people work, learn and live.

About the role :

To provide Legionella PPM and associated works to various commercial and industrial contracts

Duties :

To carry out the following works in accordance with the requirements of ACOP L8, BS6700 and the Water Supply (Water Fittings) Regulations:-

· Hot and cold water temperature monitoring

·Shower head cleans and disinfections

· Calorifier base flushing/calorifier temperatures, including flow and return

· Calorifier internal inspections

· Water sampling

· Tank and down water services disinfections/chlorination

· Dead-leg removal

· Cooling tower clean and disinfections

· Drawing of water systems schematics and the preparation and completion of job sheets

· TMV Testing

· Improvements/upgrading of domestic systems to fall within A.C.O.P L8 guidelines

· Conducting Legionella Risk Assessments and carrying out monitoring for the control of legionella

· Additional duties such as inspections of water storage tanks, hot water boilers and air conditioning systems

The knowledge, skills, qualifications and experience relevant to the position are:

Sound understanding of requirements under Health and Safety Legislation Use of PDA and computer literate A good mechanical aptitude Ability to interface with people, including clients, at all levels Ability to work on own initiative and prioritise tasks Ability to be a self starter within a team environment and lone working Must be capable of working in confined spaces/at height Background in legionella Control with several years’ experience in site monitoring and testing Understand all the legal requirements Must live in Central area, Scotland or willing to relocate

· Water sampling and testing experience

· Knowledge of Pool plant and equipment
