The Role

This is an excellent opportunity for a Junior IT / AV / ELV Consultant who wants to grow and develop with a leading IT / AV / ELV Team. You will have a foundation knowledge of IT / AV / Security systems based on an academic background with some work-based experience. An ability to engage and interact with stakeholders whilst being supported by more Senior members of the Team, you would join us to play a role in ensuring the successful delivery of innovative design solutions, whilst receiving technical training, gaining new experiences and new digital skillsets.

You will collaborate within the wider Cundall Team and external partners, working closely with colleagues of various disciplines to support the delivery of technically excellent and successful projects. The role will include design delivery, technical calculations, producing models and drawings. You will deliver against established deliverables agreed with Discipline Leads, gaining experience in this skill through mentoring and team management.

You will also support, and be supported by, Senior management staff within the Team, embracing the collaborative and supportive behaviours Cundall exhibit.

The Skills

Educated to degree level in a relevant subject such as Electronics Engineering, IT or Computer Sciences (MEng, BEng or BSc), and working towards or already a member of a professional institute such as Institute of Engineering and Technology, British Computer Society or Chartered Institute of Building Services Engineers. You will be aiming for a career in IT / AV / ELV and technology systems design and construction.

Essential traits for the successful candidate include:

Ability to take ownership for tasks and deliverables. Capacity to problem solve and help guide the team and client towards solutions. Organised and confident communicator. Appropriate level of knowledge and experience in designing and managing IT / AV / ELV distribution systems including but not limited to: (delete as appropriate)Structured cabling system, physical data cabling infrastructure. Active IT Systems. Audio visual displays and video conferencing.Audio and background music systems.Smart Building sensors and software.Internet of Things (IoT).Access Control System, CCTV / Video Surveillance Systems, Intruder Detection System and other electronic security systems. Public Address Systems and Voice Address. Design of all assigned project drawings in accordance with company and project instructions. This includes single line drawings, schematics, wiring diagrams, room layouts and rack face layouts. Conduct site visits and surveys as required to execute design work. This will include supervision and support. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Applications. Working knowledge of document production using Autodesk software as Revit and AutoCAD. Excellent communication skills in written and spoken English. Interest or ability to code in languages such as Python. Be self-motivated and have good communication written and spoken skills.
