JobSummary:

The BusinessDevelopment Manager for a Facilities Management company isresponsible for driving growth by identifying new businessopportunities building relationships with potential clients andexpanding the company s market presence. This role involvesdeveloping and executing strategies to secure new contractsmanaging client relationships and working closely with internalteams to ensure the delivery of highquality services that meetclient expectations. The ideal candidate will have a deepunderstanding of the facilities management industry strong salesacumen and the ability to develop and implement effective businessstrategies.

KeyResponsibilities:
  • Salesand BusinessDevelopment:

    • Identifyand pursue new business opportunities in the facilities managementsector including commercial industrial and residentialmarkets.
    • Develop and implementstrategic sales plans to achieve growth targets and increase marketshare.
    • Conduct market research toidentify trends customer needs and competitive landscape using thisinformation to inform business developmentstrategies.
    • Prepare and delivercompelling presentations proposals and tenders to prospectiveclients.
  • ClientRelationshipManagement:

    • Buildand maintain strong relationships with existing clients ensuringhigh levels of satisfaction and exploring opportunities foradditional services.
    • Act as theprimary point of contact for key clients managing expectations andensuring the delivery of promisedservices.
    • Negotiate contracts andterms of agreements ensuring both client satisfaction and companyprofitability.
    • Handle clientinquiries and resolve issues in a timely and professionalmanner.
  • StrategyandPlanning:

    • Workclosely with senior management to develop and execute the company sbusiness developmentstrategy.
    • Collaborate with marketingteams to develop targeted campaigns and promotional materials thatsupport business developmentefforts.
    • Monitor and analyze salesperformance market trends and customer feedback to refinestrategies and improveoutcomes.
    • Prepare regular reports onsales activities pipeline status and business development progressfor seniormanagement.
  • PartnershipsandNetworking:

    • Establishand maintain relationships with industry stakeholders includingpotential partners vendors and industryassociations.
    • Attend industry eventstrade shows and conferences to network and promote the company sservices.
    • Identify and evaluatepotential partnerships or collaborations that can enhance serviceofferings and expand marketreach.
  • TeamCollaboration:

    • Workclosely with operations finance and other internal teams to ensurealignment between business development efforts and service deliverycapabilities.
    • Provide feedback fromclients to internal teams to support continuous improvement inservice quality and customersatisfaction.
    • Assist in theonboarding of new clients ensuring a smooth transition from salesto servicedelivery.
Qualifications:
  • Education:

    • Bachelors degree in Business Administration Marketing or a related field. AMaster s degree or relevant industry certifications (e.g. CertifiedFacility Manager) are aplus.
  • Experience:

    • Minimumof 5 years of experience in business development sales or a relatedrole within the facilities management or relatedindustry.
    • Proven track record ofsecuring new business and achieving sales targets in a competitivemarket.
    • Experience in negotiatingcontracts and managing clientrelationships.

    • Strongunderstanding of the facilities management industry includingservices such as cleaning maintenance security and buildingmanagement.
    • Excellent sales andnegotiation skills with a demonstrated ability to closedeals.
    • Strong strategic thinking andplanning abilities.
    • Excellentcommunication and presentation skills with the ability to engageand influence seniordecisionmakers.
    • Strongorganizational and time managementskills.
    • Proficiency in CRM softwareand Microsoft OfficeSuite.

  • Certifications:

    • Relevantcertifications in sales business development or facilitiesmanagement areadvantageous.
WorkEnvironment:
  • Officebasedwith frequent travel to meet clients attend industry events andvisit prospective sites.
  • Flexibilityto work outside standard office hours may be required depending onclient needs and business developmentactivities.
