Key Responsibilities

Provide excellent client experience

  1. Exceed client expectations by thoroughly understanding their problems and providing creative solutions.
  2. Partner with Private Bankers and maintain close contact with clients to develop comprehensive understanding of client needs.
  3. Assist in executing specific account strategies, proposing solutions and negotiating standard transactions.
  4. Support the Private Bankers with prospecting activities and deepening of existing client relationships.
  5. Provide sales support to the Private Bankers and work closely with product specialists and transaction support teams to implement client decisions and ensure effective after-sales follow-up.
  6. Work with On-Boarding and Client Services teams to facilitate account opening, transactions, cash management, investments and liaise with clients to ensure the completion of required documentation.

Secure Compliance & Processing

  1. Ensure compliance with all legal and regulatory requirements.
  2. Appropriately assess risk when making business decisions and servicing clients, escalating, managing and reporting any risk or control issues.
  3. Maintain highest standards of confidentiality and trustworthiness in handling sensitive client information.
  4. Identify ways to streamline internal processes for greater efficiency.
  5. Monitor and adapt to changes in business processes and policies.
Knowledge/Experience
  1. Proven experience working in a Private Banker support role.
  2. Proven experience in a front office environment dealing directly with clients.
  3. Demonstrates extensive knowledge of all CPB banking systems, platforms and capabilities.
Skills
  1. Strong analytical and communication (written and verbal) skills.
  2. Pro-active and driven with the initiative to identify and solve problems.
  3. Ability to work under pressure and adapt to ambiguity & change.
  4. Ability to challenge status quo and continuously optimize processes and tasks within own area of responsibility.
  5. Attention to detail and accuracy.
Qualifications
  1. A professionally recognized banking based background in front office, investments and transaction management.
  2. A sound understanding of processing within a complex systems environment.
  3. Bachelor/University degree, Master degree preferred.

Candidates applying for this role must be aware that it is a Certified Role, subject to the FCA and PRA Certification Regime.

The Certification Regime is one element of the Individual Accountability Regime which came into effect on 7 March 2016.

Under the Certification Regime, Citi UK regulated entities (Citi entities) must ensure that employees working in certain roles categorised as specified significant harm functions (Certified Roles) are assessed as fit and proper to carry out their role.

Under the guidance provided by the FCA and PRA, firms should have regard to the following when assessing fitness and propriety:

  1. Honesty, integrity and reputation.
  2. Financial soundness.
  3. Competence and capability.

In order to comply with the requirements of the Certification Regime, Citi entities must take reasonable care to ensure that an employee does not perform a Certified Role without first being certified as Fit and Proper. For this reason, you will be assessed for this role against the Fit and Proper requirements, as described above.

This assessment will be carried out through extensive interviews, self-disclosures, permitted criminal record checks, regulated reference checks, credit checks and other background screening checks.
