Job description

We are looking to grow the team and would love you to join us. We are a small team of committed and supportive Educational Psychologists.

Educational Psychologists in Derby work as part of a multi-disciplinary team and work collaboratively with specialist teachers, advisors and specialist practitioners to provide the very best support and advice to schools and the LA. We have a strong work ethic and a positive approach and staff culture. Everyone is valued and encouraged to contribute and bring new ideas.
This year we’ve relaunched our traded service to school and together with other LAs we are contributing to work around EBSNA, neurodiversity and delivering ELSA training and supervision.

Derby City Educational Psychologists provide Psychological Advice as part of the EHC Needs Assessment. This process is well managed and fair and a part of the role of the EP to ensure a balance of work.

Team members are expected to be able to carry out in-person visits to schools, homes and settings in Derby and also attend in-person meetings but some tasks lend themselves to home working preparation, writing reports, training. Derby City council offers flexible working to support a healthy work-life balance and as a LA employee you will have access to CPD and you will receive supervision and support from your peers and a Senior Educational Psychologist.

We are looking for HCPC registered qualified Educational Psychologists or trainee EPs in their second or third year of training. If you’re relocating or looking for a change we would love to hear from you.
