We are looking for a Communications Manager to establish and deliver a Comms strategy at our fast-growing Schroders Campus near Horsham. Working closely with our central Comms team at our HQ in London.

The base
You'll be based at Schroders Campus near Horsham in West Sussex. It's our fastest growing location and home to our EMEA Operations and Technology Operations hub as well as other infrastructure teams and our Benchmark Capital business.

The team
You'll be part of our dynamic and award-winning central Communications team, responsible for developing and progressing communications on-site for our Campus. You'll support the local leadership team whilst working side-by-side with our central team in London to ensure alignment between local and centralised communications.
What you'll do
This is an exciting opportunity to lead comms and develop, establish and implement a local comms strategy for our newest location. Your purpose is to be the onsite communications expert, creating and repurposing comms to engage, inform, involve and educate your local audience and build the culture. You'll be advising senior local stakeholders at all levels on best practice and the value of excellent internal communications as well acting as an ambassador for the wider comms function. You'll be confident using metrics and insights to take a data-driven approach and refine communications approaches across multiple channels.
Building community and culture
• Collaborate with senior leaders on site to deliver engaging communications and foster employee engagement
• Adapt centralised communications to be relevant to local audience
• Build and strengthen local culture by working hand-in-hand to implement initiatives including: charity and corporate sustainability activities; sporting and social activities; wellbeing events
• Look for opportunities to embed corporate values
• Support forums, groups and societies while communicating about events and activities for the local team
• Promote the Campus in the local community with appropriate engagement opportunities.
Events and projects
• Design, deliver, manage and promote all employee events including regular townhalls
• Advise senior leaders on messaging and delivery for all employee events
• Manage and localise campaigns for initiatives driven from Head Office such as Diversity & Inclusion programmes, wellbeing initiatives, employee surveys and more
Manage local channels
The knowledge, experience and qualifications you need
• An excellent communicator and writer, able to develop engaging and informative content across multiple channels and adapt your writing style for different audiences
• Proven communications experience
• Interest in financial services and willingness to learn
• Thrives working in a fast-paced environment
• Experience of working with external agencies (including design, digital, events)
• Ability to pick up new skills and technical expertise across multiple platforms eg intranet, digital signage, polling tools, survey tools
