Vetro Education are seeking to recruit an experienced and dedicated Biology Teacher to work in a secondary school in the Newport Local Education Authority. Teachers of other sciences may also be considered if a good understanding of Biology can be demonstrated. The school supports learners in Key Stage 3 and 4 and the school have tasked Vetro to find a Biology Teacher, who can hit the ground running and become a part of the Science team from day one.
The role itself is for 3-4 days per week, teaching Year 7, 8 and 9, as well as GCSE classes. This role is for a September start with an initial placement length of 1.5 terms (Until Febr.
Overview:
Title: Biology Teacher
Pay: £165.00 per day minimum
Location: Swansea
Hours: Full time, Long Term - Monday to Friday 830am - 330pm

The role: What you'll be doing as a Biology Teacher
Lead a classroom of learners - Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4
Preparing the classroom for lessons and plan schemes of work where required
Deliver lessons in line with national curriculum
Engage learners with both classroom and lab-based activities
Work in accordance to the school's behaviour management policies
The candidate: What you'll need to be successful as a Physics Teacher
At least 1 year Biology teaching experience (exceptions made for NQTs)
Hold Qualified Teacher Status or overseas equivalent
Registration as a Teacher with the EWC (the Education Workforce Council) - we can help you with this
References covering the last two years (no gaps)
Hold a current Enhanced DBS on the update service or be willing to obtain one
