An esteemed secondary school in Rayleigh, Essex, rated GOOD by Ofsted, is seeking a dedicated and passionate Teacher of Design and Technology with a strong background in Engineering. The school prides itself on fostering a supportive and dynamic learning environment where students are encouraged to achieve their fullest potential.

The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality DT lessons, with a particular focus on Engineering, to students across Key Stages 3 and 4. They will be expected to inspire and motivate students, fostering a love for Design and Technology, while ensuring that all students reach their academic potential.

Key Responsibilities:
*Plan and deliver engaging and effective DT lessons with a focus on Engineering.
*Develop schemes of work and lesson plans in line with curriculum objectives.
*Assess and monitor student progress, providing regular feedback.
*Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages student participation.
*Prepare students for examinations and coursework assessments.
*Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the DT curriculum and contribute to the broader school community.

Requirements:
*Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
*A degree or relevant qualification in Design and Technology or Engineering.
*Experience teaching DT with a focus on Engineering at the secondary level.
*Strong knowledge of the national curriculum for Design and Technology.
*Excellent communication and organizational skills.
*A commitment to continuous professional development.
*The ability to inspire and engage students of all abilities.

Desirable:
*Experience using CAD software and other relevant DT tools.
*Previous involvement in extracurricular DT activities or clubs.
*Proven track record of improving student outcomes in DT.
