About the Role:
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a dedicated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join our dynamic KS2 Teaching Assistant in Great Yarmouth. This temporary position would be perfect for someone passionate about supporting young learners and contributing to their academic and personal development.

Key Responsibilities of a KS2 Teaching Assistant:

  • Assist the class teacher with lesson preparation and classroom management
  • Provide one-on-one and small group support to students, ensuring they stay engaged and on task
  • Help maintain a positive, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment
  • Support students with varying abilities and learning needs, including those with special educational needs
  • Assist with marking and assessing student work under the guidance of the class teacher
  • Supervise students during breaks and other non-instructional times as needed

Requirements of a KS2 Teaching Assistant:

  • Previous experience as a Teaching Assistant is essential and can be referenced
  • Experience working with ASD
  • A genuine passion for working with children and supporting their educational journey
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team
  • An understanding of child development and educational practices
  • A relevant qualification (e.g., Level 2/3 Certificate in Supporting Teaching and Learning in Schools) is desirable but not essential
