We currently have an exciting opportunity to join us as a Production Manager within our Production Department.

In a nutshell, you will be responsible for:

Focusing on planning and executing the production plan, driving safety, quality and improvement activity through shop floor KPIs and instilling a motivated, engaged and disciplined shopfloor culture. 

What you are already great at:

  • Lead the day-to-day manufacturing operations activities, interacting with departments throughout the business and offsite support functions. 
  • Maintain staff moral, performance and discipline. 
  • Maintain a frequent, positive presence on the shop floor. 
  • Working with the EHSS function and driving the development of a positive shop floor EHSS culture, whilst meeting key performance targets and maintaining legal compliance. 
  • Working with the Quality function, drive root cause analysis and product quality standards. 
  • Plan, schedule, and execute workload against capacity 
  • Manage the day to day operation of production, warehouse, packing and final inspection stages 
  • Meet OTIF performance throughout the values stream 
  • Supervise, motivate, train, and develop the manufacturing teams 
  • Review performance and identify training needs of direct reports 
  • Lead and drive the continuous improvement activities in areas of responsibility 
  • Ensure adherence and drive development of standard operating procedures (SOPs) 
  • Provide KPI information as required 
  • Special project work as specified by the operations manager 

For this role we would need you to demonstrate:

  • Minimum 3 years previous experience in a supervisory role 
  • Methodical approach with attention to detail 
  • A people based, motivational management style 
  • Strong experience of Health and Safety processes and procedures 
  • Knowledge of lean foundation tools including but not limited to 7 Wastes, 5S, basic visual management, root cause analysis and corrective/preventive actions. 
  • Excellent communication skills 
  • Good analytical and problem solving skills 
  • Ability to work under pressure on own initiative 
  • Computer literate especially MS office
