We have an exciting opportunity for a Substance Misuse Clinical Lead to be the one of the first to join our team at HMP Millsike, a brand new Category B men's prison, located in the village of Full Sutton near York

HMP Millsike will have an operational capacity of 1500 people who will spend their sentences learning the skills they need to find work on release as part of the governments drive to cut reoffending. The prison site is currently under construction and Practice Plus Group were recently awarded the healthcare contract to begin delivering services in April 2025.

This is a rare opportunity to be part of a new healthcare team from the inception of a brand new prison site.

Salary

This position is full time, youll receive an annual salary of between £47,250 and £53,025 per annum depending on experience.

Main duties of the job

As a Substance Misuse Clinical Lead your responsibilities will vary. You will

provide clinical leadership and management to the registered nurses and care teams work closely with partners to maintain a robust, high quality clinical service for patients model a culture of compassion, care, courage, commitment, communication and competence lead a team of nurses to provide the best substance misuse care

About us

The successful candidate will be a Registered Nurse with a current professional qualification (NMC) and will carry out the role with a non-judgmental and compassionate approach. Knowledge of healthcare policies and best practice would be advantageous, as well as a proactive approach to problem solving.
