Job summary
Carnarvon Medical Centre is currently looking for either a full or part time Salaried GP to join our practice, helping us deliver anexcellent standard of clinical care.
Main duties of the job
To provide excellent medical care to patients.
To keep accurate medical records and maintain QOF targets.
To review pathology results, appropriately action referrals and clinical documents.
To work as part of a team and support both clinical and non clinical staff.

Job responsibilities
Primary Responsibilities
Thedelivery of highly effective medical care to the entitled population Theprovision of services commensurate with the GMS/PMS contract Genericprescribing adhering to local and national guidance Effectivemanagement of long-term conditions Processingof administration in a timely manner, including referrals, repeat prescriptionrequests and other associated administrative tasks Ona rotational basis, undertake telephone triage and duty doctor roles Maintainaccurate clinical records in conjunction with good practice, policy andguidance Workingcollaboratively, accepting an equal share of the practice workload Adhereto best practice recommended through clinical guidelines and the audit process Contributeto the successful implementation of continuous improvement and qualityinitiatives within the practice Acceptdelegated responsibility for a specific area (or areas) or the QOF Attendand contribute effectively to practice meetings as required Contributeeffective to the development and maintenance of the practice includingclinical governance, training. Ensurecompliance with the appraisal process Prepareand complete the revalidation process Committo self-learning and instil an ethos of continuing professional developmentacross the practice team Supportthe training of medical students from all clinical disciplines Supportthe partners in achieving the strategic aims of the practice, makingrecommendations to enhance income and reduce expenditure Reviewand adhere to practice protocols and policies at all times Encouragecollaborative working, liaising with all staff regularly, promoting a cultureof continuous improvement at all timesSecondary Responsibilities
In addition to the primary responsibilities,the salaried GP may be requested to:
Participate in practiceaudits as requested by the audit lead Participate in localinitiatives to enhance service delivery and patient care Participate in the review of significant andnear-miss events applying a structured approach root cause analysis (RCA) Person Specification
Qualifications
Essential
Relevant Qualifications. GMC registered. Performers list registration. DBS checked. Experience of working as a GP in a primary care/community setting.-
