About the role 

We are looking for a proactive, energetic and enthusiastic Stock Availability Area Coordinator to work Days at our Customer Fulfilment Centre (CFC) in Purfleet; Essex. The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting the Area Manager to support the day to day delivery of Customer Fulfilment tasks that enable the accurate and efficient control of stock and assets as they flow through the warehouse. You will provide technical expertise and facilitate the monitoring of operational processes and procedures that support the operational team to deliver maximum client and customer value. As an Area Coordinator for our Stock Availability Team, you will be working as part of a tiered management team, responsible for leading and inspiring a team of skilled Stock Availability Team Members, that manage supplier deliveries and asset collections, ensuring they are performing their roles as trained. You will also assist the Area Managers to ensure transactions that support the Goods In process are efficient and correct and to monitor CFC storage and layout tools to enable a smooth flow and balanced use of space. This role is for 48 hours per week, starting at 06:00 AM on an any 4 days from 7 rotation. The successful candidate will need to be flexible in terms of shift availability, depending on the needs of the business.

About you 

The ideal candidate will have strong verbal and written communication and numeracy skills. Knowledge of best practice Health and Safety standards are essential. You will have the ability to work well under pressure and manage your workload to keep to tight deadlines and need to possess an analytic approach to problem solving and have a high attention to detail. You will also help to manage the Stock Availability team members in a professional, efficient and respectful manner and a passion for dealing with people and a focus to achieve employee satisfaction. You will also undertake tiered management/personal shopper tasks if the need arises and be able to stand/walk for extended periods and to lift objects weighing up to 30kg (periodically) from the floor to shoulder height. You will need to wear protective equipment to ensure requisite standards of health and safety are maintained and trained to use Mechanical Handling Equipment. The Area Coordinator role involves working in environments ranging in temperature from 30 o C to -30 o C. This role will include travel to other sites from time to time to support the needs of the business and to work shifts, including weekends, in an operational 24/7 environment. Knowledge of our Stock Availability systems and processes and a working knowledge of food safety systems are highly desirable.
