Coventry, United Kingdom Sainsbury's Full time

Why join us

With our commitment to innovation and continuous improvement, you will have the opportunity to shape the future of our property supply chain, working collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders. As a valued member of our team, you will have the chance to make strategic decisions and recommendations, manage suppliers, and drive performance to ensure the successful execution of our capital investment programme. With a focus on supply chain principles, stakeholder management, and budget management, this role offers a platform for personal and professional growth, enabling you to contribute to our goal of providing exceptional service to our customers and colleagues. Join us and be a part of a team that values innovation, collaboration, and delivering tangible results to support our business objectives.

What you'll do

As a Property Supply Chain Manager at Sainsbury's, you will be responsible for managing the end-to-end property supply chain for property investments, ensuring the successful execution of the capital investment programme. This includes forward planning and forecasting equipment requirements, communicating those requirements to internal stakeholders and equipment vendors, and selecting the most appropriate supply chain approach for each work stream. You will oversee the management of the Property Supply Centre, ensuring the flow and inventory of equipment is maintained, as well as managing the relationship with warehousing, logistics, and other supply chain partners. Additionally, you will monitor and report on the performance of suppliers and contractors, identifying and addressing any issues that arise, while continuously seeking opportunities to improve the equipment supply chain and driving innovation and process improvement. Your role will also involve making strategic decisions, managing budgets, and collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to ensure the efficient and effective delivery of projects.

Who you are

You are a highly experienced individual who thrives in a fast-paced and complex delivery environment, particularly within the retail or a similar sector. With a strong understanding of supply chain principles, including forecasting, inventory, and flow management, you have successfully managed suppliers and conducted supplier performance management to ensure successful project delivery. Your exceptional stakeholder management skills enable you to effectively engage and influence internal and external stakeholders at a senior level, while your strategic mindset, budget management expertise, and commercial acumen drive data-driven decision-making and compelling business cases. With your ability to anticipate and resolve complex problems, you consistently seek opportunities to innovate, simplify processes, and improve execution. Your strong communication skills, both written and verbal, allow you to effectively communicate technical concepts to non-technical audiences, while your natural curiosity fuels your drive for continuous improvement and collaboration across diverse teams.
