About You

Are you a detail-oriented and strategic thinker with a passion for financial accuracy and compliance? We have an excellent opportunity to join our Group Finance team as a Financial Accountant where you will play a pivotal role in preparing monthly group management accounts, annual statutory accounts, and providing financial accounting support for complex new strategic projects. You will also serve as the key point of contact with auditors, ensuring our financial integrity and compliance.

This is an fantastic opportunity for a qualified accountant with 1 to 3 years post-qualification experience who is eager to progress their career and develop further expertise. We also welcome applications from newly qualified individuals.

You should have a thorough knowledge of IFRS and UK GAAP accounting standards, as well as Corporate Governance principles, along with experience in account preparation. Strong verbal and written communication skills are essential, as you will need to build robust relationships with key stakeholders across the Finance teams and the wider business.

In this role, you will contribute to our success by ensuring the highest standards of financial accuracy and compliance.

The Role

Becoming our Financial Accountant, you will have the opportunity to showcase financial expertise and knowledge. Reporting to the Financial Controller, you will be responsible for the preparation of monthly group management accounts & reporting, annual statutory accounts, financial accounting support for complex accounting on new strategic projects and key point of contact with auditors. 

Whilst the role will be based out of our Bournemouth Head Office, we have adopted a hybrid way of working which typically requires 2 or 3 days a week working from the office, with the remainder home.

Your Attributes

You will have:

Detailed knowledge of finance systems (Agresso knowledge is an advantage). Moderate to advanced Microsoft Excel skills. Good understanding of Management Accounts and Sub-ledgers.
