An Ofsted-rated GOOD studio school in Darwen is seeking a passionate and dedicated Girls PE Teacher (Early Career Teacher) to join their permanent staff team from September 2024. This is an exciting opportunity for a newly qualified teacher to begin their career in a supportive and dynamic environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan, prepare, and deliver high-quality PE lessons for girls across Key Stages 3 and 4.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment that encourages all students to participate and achieve their best.
  • Monitor and assess student progress, providing constructive feedback and setting targets for improvement.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of the PE curriculum.
  • Organize and oversee extracurricular sports activities and events.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to promote health and fitness throughout the school.
  • Participate in departmental and whole-school meetings and professional development activities.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or pending completion of an initial teacher training program by the start date.
  • A degree in Physical Education or a related field.
  • Enthusiasm for teaching PE and promoting a healthy lifestyle.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills.
  • Ability to inspire and motivate students of all abilities.
  • Commitment to creating a positive learning environment and supporting student well-being.
  • Willingness to engage in continuous professional development and contribute to the wider school community.
