We're seeking a talented and motivated Electrical Distribution Systems (EDS) CAD Engineer to join our team of engineers developing and supporting electrical & electronic solutions use on our race, rally and road projects. Due to the nature of our operations, this vacancy is onsite in Banbury, Oxfordshire, UK.
Key Responsibilities
Design electrical and electronic installations for Prodrive’s products in 3D MCAD (Siemens NX), working cooperatively with Electrical, Chassis and Powertrain design groups to integrate the electrical design into the physical medium. Produce manufacturing drawings of wiring harnesses and components. Produce documentation (internal and customer facing) to assist with electrical installations. Improve Prodrive’s working practices and Zuken E3 implementation (Reports, BOM and drawing generation) Release parts and assembly structures onto bill of materials. Liaise with other departments and customers to support the build and testing of parts, systems, and vehicles.Who Are We Looking For?
A strong background in CAD and electrical systems design. Bachelor’s or Equivalent in Motorsport or Electronic Engineering or another relevant degree. Strong automotive or motorsport understanding of electrical systems. Strong understanding of relevant communication protocols such as CAN, LIN & Ethernet. Fluent in the use of computers and Microsoft Office Suite. Experience with Zuken E3 and Siemens NX is an advantage. Ability to operate both independently and in a collaborative, team environment. Ability to work effectively and thrive in a fast-paced environment. Willingness to travel and support cars on event or test.What can we offer you?
