An experienced Computational Chemist to work within our well established Drug Discovery department. 
This is a permanent role which can have a hybrid/remote based set up. PhD in chemistry or closely related discipline eg. Computational physical or theoretical chemistry or structural biology Multi-year experience in world class small molecule drug discovery organization(s) Structure and ligand-based drug discovery Scripting and/or pipelining tools Combine above to contribute to drug discovery Strong familiarity with a wide range of current computational chemistry software Decide and communicate scientific/tactical choices Presentation skills Decide and communicate scientific/tactical choices Excellent motivation and team building skills Analytical and Problem solving skills Excellent interpersonal skills Excellent organization skills, focused on execution, with strong attention to detail IT skills with a good working knowledge of MS Office Able to work across geographies and cultures Key roles and responsibilities: Support and drive small molecule drug discovery projects from hit-finding, through lead generation and lead optimization to candidate selection, utilizing in-house resources and jointly with Pharmaron partner organisations. Through scientific leadership and collaboration with colleagues, provide clear data analyses, actionable hypotheses and ideas to steer overall project and, in particular, medicinal and synthetic chemistry project contributions. Ensure timely application of computational approaches and data and hypotheses communicated effectively Active engagement in decision making Present plans, tactics and achievements to external partners and to internal stakeholders including project and Senior Management. Provide flexible support to the scientific and operational needs of the department. Be willing to develop new skills and assume responsibility for new capabilities.
