The Operations Director is responsible for overseeing the Operations Division within MD Group, comprising the following functions:

Customer Excellence Business Intelligence Claims Management Complaints Management


This role will lead the development and implementation over the strategic direction and focus of the division with respect to both internal and external customer service, to support MD Group in delivering on its ‘2025 and beyond ambitions’ for profitable growth and market leading customer experience. The role will provide motivational leadership to their leadership team and team members.
 

As Operations Director you will work closely with the Commercial Director in partnership to monitor product performance and enhancement opportunities; identify service innovation opportunities and agree plans for their development; and ensure required operational standards are clearly articulated and embedded across the Customer Excellence, Business Intelligence, Claims Management and Complaint Management teams.

The Operations Director will support the Director of Surveyor Operations and Director of Building Control, to extract and analyse quality business information in support of driving improved efficiency to build field capacity to allow growth of core inspection activity and value add consultancy propositions.

Critical to success in this role, the Operations Director will champion together with HR and TM&D, a strong emphasis on diversity, talent and career development for team members within as a great and inclusive place to work.

As a member of the Executive Leadership team of the MD Group, the Operations Director will contribute to wider organisational strategy and effective operational decision making.

Your Skills and Experience
 
• Proven leadership experience in previous roles
• Effective stakeholder management in a matrix reporting line environment; ability to quickly build relationships and establish credibility
• Ability to lead the development and interpretation of numerical trends and analysis, identify key issues based on this information to enable well-informed business decisions.
• Ability to communicate across all levels and articulate complex topics in a simple and easy to understand manner
• Good knowledge and understanding of the business, economic and market environment in which non-life property carriers operate
• Awareness and understanding of the main risks facing the identified insurance sector and ability to lead a team to identify, assess, monitor, control and mitigate risks
• Awareness and understanding of the regulatory framework, and the regulatory requirements in which the Company operates and the expectations relevant to the Operations Director role.

Qualifications and Educational Requirements:
