Connex Education are currently working closely with a “Good” school situated in Nottinghamshire, who have a fantastic vacancy for a qualified English teacher. This role is a long-term, full-time position where you can make the students learning journey exciting and unforgettable.

The school itself has a ‘Good’ Ofsted rating where all elements have been rated good, from student’s behaviours and attitudes to the leadership and management team. Assignment details

Within the role you will be working Monday to Friday, Full time (8am-3.30pm) Starting from Autumn term.

Person Specification

  • Hold qualified teaching status
  • Have suitable, UK teaching experience
  • Hold good subject knowledge of SSP (synthetic, systematic phonics) and guided reading
  • Experience of teaching English GCSE and Functional skills.
  • Able to work with students of varied abilities up to KS4
  • Can commit to a long term placement
  • Reliable and consistent
  • Capable of your ability to work with challenging behaviour
  • Able to work under pressure effectively and reflect in action
  • Passionate about the success of young people and supporting the local community
  • Ambitious and enthusiastic with a ‘can do attitude’ and cracking sense of humour
