Position Summary

The Atlassian Administrator role is responsible for overseeing all the Atlassian suite of products including JIRA, Confluence and BitBucket. This role requires administering all aspects of the application environment including bringing on new teams into JIRA, configuring workflows, troubleshooting the environment and supporting user issues. It will also require providing recommendations for improvements on existing architecture and overall system health as well as performance metrics including its service time, reliability, monitoring features and system security. The Atlassian Administrator should be able to script groovy in JIRA for automation processes and should have experience maintaining a healthy JIRA, Confluence and BitBucket server environment. Execution of version grades, system maintenance and fine tuning the platform for maximum performance will be addition administrator duties.

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent working experience

Required Experience:

5+ Years’ experience working with Atlassian applications (primarily JIRA, Confluence, BitBucket and JIRA Service Desk) with a firm grasp of the following Application and System administration functions

Ability to install JIRA/Confluence/BitBucket applications on a server from scratch Ability to fine-tune the environment for top performance Ability to work with Project Admins and other stakeholders to introduce new plug-ins or other desired changes to configuration Create an entire project scheme set from concept to functional operation Advanced workflow design and implementation including adding conditions, validators and post-functions Manage users and groups Write Groovy and Java-script within the Script runner add-ons to increase process functionality Experience in maintaining application health from within the program UI (manage mail queues, monitor heap memory, perform add-on updates) Ability to assist in or perform upgrades to core applications such as JIRA Server, Confluence and JIRA Service Desk Alter appropriate server configuration files for additional application functionality Troubleshoot error logs within the application server to resolve application issues or downtime Perform server maintenance tasks for overall application health Experience with a ServiceNow to JIRA migration, JIRA, Confluence, BitBucket consolidation or other integration projects Atlassian Certified JIRA or Confluence Administrator Database experience with advanced query writing skills Implementing Portfolio, Tempo, BigSky add-ons Implementing JEMH and creation/maintenance or associated email templates JIRA plug-in development knowledge In-depth application server knowledge with Python or equivalent coding skills a significant plus Knowledge of other Atlassian applications such as, but not limited to, Crowd, Fisheye, Crucible or HipChat a plus

Technical Capability

Programming languages: Groovy, JavaScript, Python Experience with OKTA/SSO technologies Database: PostgreSQL, MySQL MS-SQL Experience with High Availability environment Experience with shell scripting and Linux OS (Red Hat/CentOS), Apache/NGINX and IIS Ability to document technical administrative changes

Organized and self-motivated individual who can work as part of a team Atlassian Certified JIRA/Confluence Administrator bonus

Writing technical documentation Managing workload tasks in a software application (Examples: TFS, Jira, Rally, etc)

Preferred Experience:

Administration\support of all Atlassian products (Jira, Confluence, Bitbucket) Any migration\integration experience Smartsheets experience Powershell or some form of scripting experience Advanced Excel skills (especially in formulas and pivot tables)

Fluency in oral and written English Excellent verbal, written communication, and negotiations skills Experience collaborating within a high performing team Cordial telephone communications and customer service skills Able to multi-task retain multiple set of instructions, set priorities and meet deadlines Understands the workflow and process requirements of complex application systems Excellent problem solving/analytical skills and knowledge of analytical tools Display and execute logical and complex troubleshooting methods. Competent in the presentation of ideas and ability to clearly articulate the concepts to senior management Ability to effectively interface with technical and nontechnical staff at all organizational levels Exhibit high levels of customer service, be a good listener and work well with others Self-motivated, able to work independently and takes initiative. Outstanding attention to detail with superior time and project management skills Demonstrated ability to work successfully with a diverse group of customers Professional attitude and work habits Understands how to relate the business function to the technical application Ability to work Physical Requirements: Office Environment or Remote
