Team –  IT Optimisation

Working Pattern - Hybrid – 2 days per week in the Vitality Bournemouth Office. Full time, 35 hours per week.

What this role is all about:

Supporting the SAM Function with the development and management of centralised policies, processes and procedures for the management of technology software assets. You will ensure accurate compliance of software, responding to both vendor and internal audits, complete effective license positions and handling user queries.

Key Actions

Preparing and optimising effective licence positions for a major complex vendor Developing and maintaining SAM tooling and databases Ensuring accurate reporting of vendor compliance Developing optimised vendor licence positions Working with the wider SAM Team to correctly identify software products that have been discovered within the Vitality estate Process Proof of Entitlement to manually match to applications, where automatic reconciliation is not possible Reviewing and importing new purchase information from third party systems into SAM tooling Qualifying and verifying all data sources required for SAM processing

Essential Skills needed to fulfil this role:

Delivery of effective licence positions/ reconciliations within a SAM capacity for minimum of 3 years A very good working knowledge of complex licensing for at least one major vendor such as Microsoft, Oracle Knowledge of emerging technologies and associated licensing models Experience analysing and preparing effective license positions Comfortable liaising with for example technical architects, data analysts and third party suppliers at a technical level In depth experience with at least one SAM tool ( Snow, Flexera, License Optimizer, Xensam) Working knowledge of a software management / discovery tool ( SCCM, UD, BMC Discovery) (Preferred) So, what’s in it for you?
