The successful candidate will work at a senior level within the Trust, leading the costing agenda, managing the Costing Team and contributing to the achievement of the Trust's corporate financial objectives.

Post-qualification experience of financial management within an acute hospital environment Staff management experience Demonstrable experience of successful identification and delivery of tangible efficiency savings in a healthcare environment Experience of successful collaboration with senior managers and senior medical staff on strategic financial issues Experience of using NHS benchmarking tools, Model Health System Involvement in the development of business cases for complex, multi-faceted service developments. Political awareness - experience of working in a large organisation with complex management structures.

Developing / working with a Patient Level Costing system Working with a PMO / Turnaround regime

Autonomy. Ability to identify and direct own workload to deliver the required outcomes. Ability to communicate at a senior level, with all medical and non-medical leaders. Ability to explain complex financial and non-financial concepts and information to a range of audiences. Influencing skills, including ability to build consensus in diverse groups but also the ability to formulate and sustain a rational argument in contentious situations when dealing with senior colleagues both internal and external. Strategic thinking, ability to incorporate diverse information and objectives into a coherent proposal. Advanced IT skills, including advanced Excel skills and experience of electronic accounting systems. Ability to use SQL and experience of PowerBI. Advanced analytical skills.
