An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the existing dermatology team in Lincolnshire, a motivated, energetic team who are committed to providing high quality services to a largely rural population. The purpose of this post is to ensure the highest quality of care is provided to the Lincolnshire population. The appointees will join a busy, enthusiastic and hardworking team.

Main duties of the job

Duties and Responsibilities1. The appointee is expected, in conjunction with his/her Consultant colleagues, to provide a comprehensive dermatology service to the hospitals within Lincolnshire, working across the different sites for the organisation as To provide departmental cover for dermatology by coordinating leave with To teach medical students, junior doctors, nursing staff and General Practitioners. To take an active part in the Postgraduate Medical Education To have continuing responsibility for the patients in his/her charge and for the proper functioning of the To attend the Dermatology Team meetings and actively contribute to the management and development of the clinical service, and other service activities with the object of ensuring a high standard of patient Meet Royal College of Physicians standards and British Association of Dermatologist in continuing medical Participate in local mandatory training, annual medical appraisal and To take part in the Team, Department, Trust, District, Regional and National Audit To provide professional supervision and management of nursing and medical To be involved in research where Undertake such other duties as may be identified to meet the needs of the service.

Qualifications & Clinical Skills

Essential

On GMC Specialist Register MRCP(UK) or equivalent medical experience Experience and understanding of NHS practice

Desirable

Higher degree Masters degree

Special Knowledge / Abilities and/or Experience

Special area of interest and expertise within Dermatology including skin surgery

Desirable

Special interest in surgery / paediatrics or biological therapies

Person Skills / Qualities

Ability to teach trainees and general practitioners
