About the Role:

Teaching Personnel is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join one of our esteemed partner schools in the Tameside area starting in September. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in supporting teaching staff and enhancing the learning experience of students.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the planning and delivery of engaging and effective lessons across various subjects.
  • Provide targeted support to students, including those with special educational needs.
  • Lead small group activities and interventions to boost student progress.
  • Support classroom management and maintain a positive learning environment.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of individual education plans (IEPs).
  • Undertake supervision duties and ensure the safety and well-being of students.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a Teaching Assistant, preferably at a higher level.
  • Relevant qualifications (e.g., HLTA status, Level 2/3 Teaching Assistant qualification, or equivalent).
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with teaching staff and other professionals.
  • Commitment to fostering an inclusive and supportive learning environment.
