We have an exciting opportunity for a Sexual Health Nurse to join team at HMP New Hall basedin Warrington. 

HMP Newhall is a female adult and young offenders institution offering medium level of security with a population of 344 females. 

Hours: 

Monday - Friday hours per week.

Salary

This position is full time, youll receive an annual salary between £42, - £47,;per annum FTE - depending on experience.

Main duties of the job

As a Sexual Health Nurse, your responsibilities will vary. You will

Lead on promotion, assessment, and co-ordinating treatment for patients in all aspects of sexual health (plus contraception within female estate). Ensure effective and consistent recognition of STIs, symptomatic and asymptomatic screening, taking samples and managing laboratory pathways. Co-ordinate all clinical activity in relation to sexual health and where applicable contraception, conduct STI screening.

Qualifications required

Registered Adult Nurse with current registration with NMC Demonstrate a passion for working in sexual health services Evidence of post registration CPD Able to work autonomously as a registered professional by on-going assessment, planning, management and evaluation of care following best practice guidance

Although not essential ideal applicants would have experience in a hospital, community or prison environment.
