This is a key role to join our QOF Team.
This role is worked over 5 days, hours a week, Monday to Friday.
Main duties of the job
The QOF assistant is a vital role within the practice, the main dutiesof the role is to be part of the Business and Finance team, which contributesto the smooth running of the practice by ensuring the practice revenue from QOFis monitored and appropriate actions taken on a daily basis
You will be responsible for sending out monthly letters and blood formsand checking if patients attend their reviews

Job responsibilities
To be responsible for sending out monthly letters and blood forms andcheck if patient has attended reviews adding appropriate coding attachment toall letters within a two letter rule
Clinical indicators
Asthma letters, COPD, Diabetic letters, Lithium letters, mental healthletters. dementia, PAD, Hypertension, Depression letters. CVD risk assessmentsand letters. Smoking deficits
Assisting time sensitive work
Cancer care reviews
Work is checked weekly and monthly, tasking doctors with reminders
Liaising with Business support staff
Registration 30 day update information letter sent monthly
Check and audit patients who have not attended the surgery for a numberof years, found in QOF deficits under smoking and BP45, then deduct asappropriate
Check deficits in report monthly and claim codes
Tidying up recalls deleting recalls no longer used
Add patients to housebound list if patient come under QOF indicators
Run all monthly audits
Audit all newly diagnosed
Audit all recalls that have not been forwarded in previous months
Audit diabetic follow up assessments
Audit asthma patients who have not requested medication
Audits for the business team
Audit COPD data
Setting up new letters and template management and populating

Qualifications
Essential
Educated to GCSE level or equivalent, including Maths and English (C or above)
Experience
Essential
Experience of working in a healthcare setting/General Practice Experience of EMIS and CQRS Ability to collate and analyse data Experience of administrative duties Excellent communication skills (written and oral) Strong IT skills Effective time management Ability to work on their own and as part of a team Clear and respectful telephone style Experience of, and displays, good customer care Ability to maintain confidentiality
