We have a fantastic opportunity for an experienced technical underwriter to be part of the Mid Market Solutions Team, operating at UK level supporting our trading teams to develop and implement solutions for our most complex cases and risk profiles, but to also be operate as a Sector/Trade expert for the UK teams.
This is a great role for someone with high levels of underwriting authority looking to further develop their knowledge and segment specialisms, improving opportunities through development of market leading propositions & solutions for individual cases and blocks of business working closely with the Trading and Broker Performance Team.
A bit about the job:
Assist with the Underwriting Strategy, philosophy/principles, best practice & processes
Leads continual development of our open market propositions for commercial Mid Market
Develop & Leads strong commercial underwriting capability across the trading teams
Ensure knowledge & insight into performance of SME Segments & Trades which supports SME Planning & performance and links to the CUO Team
Ensure develop leading knowledge and capability for Trade and sector expertise
Skills and experience we’re looking for:
An experienced underwriter with high levels of underwriting authority, continually looking to develop and a curiosity about sector specialisms
The ability to understanding of performance issues at Commercial Segment level for Mid Market, Scheme & Small Commercial Business to direct action and identify opportunities /threats to underwriting performance
Strong commercial business insight to build and deliver business cases
Works collaboratively within a large, sophisticated organisation and proven leadership and mentoring ability
Good knowledge of risk management and how this can be utilised across all segments within mid market
