We have a fantastic opportunity for a Senior Auditor to join our Internal Audit team with a particular focus on Model Risk. You’ll have the challenge of working on audits covering the end-to-end model lifecycle, including the conceptual soundness of Models, their documentation, their implementation, the level of compliance with regulatory requirements, and their independent validation.

You’ll play a key role in this critical area, challenging the st and nd lines of defence and contributing to the independent assessment of how well the relevant risks are managed.

The difference you’ll make:

Reviewing mechanisms and processes to ensure that they are robust, demonstrating awareness and understanding of business objectives, always thinking of the end customer

Identifying and assessing individual controls designed to manage model risk and proposing appropriate testing strategies, including identifying relevant regulatory requirements that need to be considered

Reviewing and challenging procedures or risk management practices using internal and external data to support decisions

Communicating required control changes and process improvements effectively and getting buy in from appropriate stakeholders

What you’ll bring:

Having proven assurance / monitoring / audit skills

Demonstrating proven capability to analyse and interpret data to contribute to assurance activities, including exposure to data analysis tools and techniques

It would also be nice for you to have:

Excellent problem solving, analytical skills and technical troubleshooting skills

Track record and understanding of model risk and associated controls, as well as relevant regulatory requirements

Understanding of Regulations and related processes in relation to the calculation of regulatory capital requirements and associated reporting

Professional audit related qualification (CMIIA/ACA/ACCA/equivalent)

This permanent role is based in Unity Place, Milton Keynes and our current expectation is at least days in an office every week.
